Kenya veterinary bills and Livestock master plan
Chief Administrative Secretary, State Department for Livestock and Fisheries Madam Chebii Kilimo, launched the Veterinary Bills and adoption of the roadmap of Livestock master plan at Hotel Enashipai, Naivasha on 27th November 2020. The workshop was meant to adopt the final drafts of the Animal Health Bill; Veterinary Public Health Bill; and Animal Welfare and Protection Bill. This is to ensure that Kenyan Livestock and Livestock products remains globally competitive and sustainable in enhancing Livestock Sector’s contribution to the country’s economy. While addressing the participants of the workshop, Chebii said that, to better support the development of Livestock sector, there is need to provide a predictable means of implementing policies, legislation sector strategies and investment plans. The participants of the workshop held today were Cessation, led by Madam Nzomo, COGs and Ministry technical staff, among others.
